- Munich asleep
I returned back home to Munich when the COVID-19 pandemic was at it's highest. I had studied the work of the German photographer Christopher Thomas who captured areas of Munich without people's presence in his series "Münchner Elegien" (Munich Elegies) from 1995 - Could I capture such scenes whilst my home town was in lockdown? For my series "München schläft" I captured Munich landmarks - empty, without life - as if the inhabitants were asleep. To capture the images I had to venture out at daybreak before Munich awoke.
